The rooftop of Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store features a lovely garden inspired by Claude Monet’s “Giverny Garden” and his masterpiece “Water Lilies.” The garden has a central attraction, the “Water Lily Garden,” with floating water lilies and changing seasonal views. You can enjoy a meal here and experience different atmospheres from day to night and season to season. ・Mejiro Garden
The Mejiro Garden is a traditional Japanese pond garden with a large central pond, offering a pleasant stroll through changing seasonal flowers and plants. You can appreciate the diverse beauty from different angles as you walk around the pond. Additionally, you can admire traditional Japanese architectural structures here. The “Akatorian,” with its tiled roof, is an example of a Japanese architectural style called “sukiya-zukuri,” which is often associated with tea rooms. Akatorian hosts events related to Japanese traditional dance and tea ceremonies. In spring, you can witness the weeping cherry blossoms and spot-billed duck flocks. It’s a place where you can experience Japan’s four seasons and culture up close. So if you are someone who enjoys Japanese gardens and culture, Mejiro Garden would be the best recommendation for you. It’s a 20-minute walk from Higashi-Ikebukuro Station, and a quick 10-minute train ride away, making it a convenient option for those looking for some light exercise.

So why not look around the places near your home or the places you’ll pass by from the school? Given that you might feel stressed due to the new environment and challenges. During those times when you feel drained, when something good happens, or when you have accomplished an activity. Make sure to embrace nature, soothe yourself, and hopefully enjoy the new semester!
